I don’t get why people are making such a big deal out of who Hermione should have ended up with. JK Rowling might have brought it up and said that she would be better off if she married Harry, but to me the Harry Potter series was never really about the ships or who ended up with who. Harry Potter was never really a love story. It was about adventure. It was more about transporting readers into another world, a world unlike ours where magic existed. The series depicted more stories about friendship, strength, courage, family and principle more than it did about love. Those love stories between Ginny and Dean, Harry and Cho, Hermione and Viktor Krum, Ron and Lavender, were there to show that the wizarding world is not that different from the muggle world, that Hogwarts was not that different from muggle high schools. Those relationships weren’t the center of the series. It was centered on friendship and family and protecting the people they considered important to them. So why make a fuss about one ship? Just saying.
